These terms apply to all orders placed on emeraldtimepieces.ie. Please read them before placing your order. By placing an order you agree to these terms. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law.
1. About us
This website is operated by Emerald Time Pieces, O’Moores Forest, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, Ireland.
Phone: 086 848 1053 (Ireland) / +353 86 848 1053 (outside Ireland)
Email: info@emeraldtimepieces.ie
2. Our products
We make personalised sports medal displays and holders. As our products are handmade from wood, grain, colour and finish may vary slightly from the photos on our website. Product images are for illustration.
3. Orders and contract
After you place an order you will receive an email acknowledging it. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email or dispatch it. We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable or there is an obvious pricing error; if so, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
4. Personalisation and engraving
Please check engraving text carefully (spelling, names, dates) before placing your order. We engrave exactly what you enter at checkout and cannot be responsible for errors in text you supply. If you notice a mistake, contact us as soon as possible. We can only change it before production has started.
Please double-check spelling, as engraved nameplates are made to order and can’t be changed once engraved.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are in euro (€). Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link and Klarna. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
6. Delivery
We deliver to Ireland (including Northern Ireland), the United Kingdom and the United States. Delivery costs are shown at checkout. We will deliver your order within 30 days unless we agree otherwise with you. If there is a delay, we will let you know. Orders sent outside the EU may be subject to import duties or taxes, which are the responsibility of the customer.
7. Your right to cancel
For non-personalised items, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it without giving a reason. To cancel, email us at info@emeraldtimepieces.ie with your order number. Return the item within 14 days of telling us, unused and in its original condition. We will refund the price and standard delivery cost within 14 days of receiving the item back. You pay the cost of returning the item unless it is faulty.
Personalised or engraved items are made to your specification, so the 14-day right to cancel does not apply to them. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or not as described (see below).
8. Faulty or damaged items
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 apply to everything you buy from us. If an item arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days, with your order number and photos. We will arrange a repair, replacement or refund in line with your legal rights. We cover the cost of returning faulty items.
9. Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
10. Privacy
We use your personal data only to process and deliver your order. We share it only with the services needed to do this (such as our payment processor and delivery companies) and never sell it. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
11. Complaints
If you have a problem with your order, please contact us first at info@emeraldtimepieces.ie and we will do our best to resolve it quickly. You may also contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) for information about your rights.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you live in Northern Ireland, the UK or elsewhere, you may also be able to rely on mandatory consumer protections in your country and bring proceedings in your local courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on this page when you placed it.
